All incoming degree-seeking students at Eternity are required to attend an English Writing Workshop in order to sharpen the essential skills for academic writing. This skill is essential to success at Eternity and beyond. Therefore, students will take the course during their first semester and will repeat it until demonstrating the written competency to pass the course. Students confident in their ability to write an academic essay may opt to demonstrate that ability through the two-part English Composition Exam rather than attending the Workshop.
Part 1 of the exam measures your understanding and ability to work with the rules of language, grammar, punctuation, and style to deliver your thoughts and ideas clearly in written forms of communication in the context of academia. It consists of 46 multiple-choice questions.
